Who is Peppermint?
I am Different.
Hi there, my name is Byron Ismail, the founder and man behind the Peppermint studios Brand. I am a cinematographer, story-teller, explorer from Salford. The camera is my brush, and the world, my canvas. I work to tell stories, to ignite communication, to excite someone, or teach, to explore the wonders of the world, our human condition and inspire people with my own weird imagination. Film is how I create narrative and tell stories. Here you will find all of my films and videos, directed, shot and edited by myself with the help of a hardy crew.
I have travelled the world, met many people, tried many things and kept many souvineers along my way, which I use in my methods of storytelling. I use these skills and scars to create new ideas and tell fascinating stories, some true, some fiction, but I have learnt to never let the truth get in the way of a good story! No matter where we are, Manchester, Andalucia, Asia or a film studio, we are all telling stories, sharing tales of ancestors and ‘back when’, making new ones together and learning of ones in history that make us who we are today, and this is before a camera has even been introduced. They give birth to our dreams and goals, or help save forgotten ones. Inspire and persuade us. They are what I believe bring us together. This has made me fall inlove with story telling and Film help’s me express that, to start sharing my own stories. But really, It ‘s all about having a good ‘chinwag’, where all stories normally start. The pub, The beach, The places we all meet. I would like Peppermint to be that meeting place, where people can come and watch a film that gives them goosebumps, that will hopefully put a smile on their faces and spark some primal feelings of imagination and freedom.

Peppermint studios is more than just a freelance production company, but a hub for story telling. We make films that you want to watch. Push the buttons you want to push. But, most importantly, we are the Go-getters that have a passion for story telling, as much as your passion is your story. Peppermint started with just 1, and now expanded to a crew of 6. We cover all sides of the spectrum here at Peppermint, and we do it like no one else. We specialize in telling the story, yes we said it again! No matter what the job; we work on film’s, commercial, private, music, sport, Documentary and expanding to more areas every year! With working so close with many different sides of the creative society in the UK, I have brought not just ourselves but others closer with those who can help tell your story to the world.
